The Columbus Dispatch has an article on natural gas price deregulation at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio: "With no dissent and no discussion, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio said that Columbia Gas of Ohio can eliminate regulated pricing for households, if certain conditions are met. The panel also approved a similar plan for Dominion East Ohio Gas. *** This is a significant step in a process Ohio began in the 1990s when it began to allow households to buy gas from companies other than the utility. *** As soon as 2017, Columbia customers would need to select a pricing plan from an unregulated gas supplier, or else a plan would get assigned to them."
