The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that a recent legislative proposal could impact the rates paid for natural gas service in Ohio: "Roegner’s bill, House Bill 102, says the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio would determine how much of a subsidy the auction winners [who are serving customers who do not participate in a gas choice program] receive and then require the winning bidders to make a payment to cover the costs. The money would go into a pool that would be distributed to all residential natural-gas customers."
