U.S. EPA Proposes Revisions to Oil and Gas Performance Standards

On April 13, 2013 EPA published proposed revisions to its New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) for the oil and gas industry. The proposed revisions are specific to issues related to the implementation of storage vessel provisions. Specific revisions include, but are not limited to, delaying the implementation date of the storage vessel provisions, amending the definition of “storage vessel” and “storage vessel affected facility,” and streamlining certain monitoring and testing requirements. Comments on the proposed revisions are due by May 13, 2013.
