We’re pleased to announce that today we strengthened our oil and gas practice by expanding into Pennsylvania and welcoming a team of experienced oil and gas attorneys familiar with the region’s energy industry.
We have assisted producers, midstream companies, and service companies with their operations in the Appalachian Basin for years. The opening of our Pittsburgh office further demonstrates our commitment to providing accessible and high-quality legal counsel to our clients as they actively pursue opportunities in the Utica and Marcellus shales.
Vorys has one of the Midwest’s largest and most experienced oil and gas law practices, and we’re excited to expand the practice with talented lawyers who are well-versed in the complexities of Pennsylvania energy law. Kevin M. Gormly joined Vorys as a partner. He has nearly 15 years of experience, most recently in oil and gas law, and has significant experience in complex federal and state oil and gas litigation. Melissa McCoy Gormly has joined the firm as of counsel; she has litigated a variety of oil and gas matters and drafted numerous oil and gas title opinions. Abigail L. Marusic joined Vorys as an associate in the energy group, and Rachel Rocco joined as an oil and gas paralegal.
