On July 2, 2014, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) released oil and gas production data for the first and second quarters of 2013 and the first quarter of 2014. The production data is based on information submitted to ODNR by owners of oil and gas wells. Pursuant to a change in Ohio's oil and gas law, effective September 29, 2013, owners of horizontal wells in Ohio are required to submit oil, gas and brine production data quarterly instead of annually.
