Columbus Business First reports that natural gas production increased by 32 percent in the second quarter of 2014: "Natural gas production in Ohio’s Utica shale play jumped 32 percent in the second quarter compared to the first three months of the year, as the state’s hydraulic fracturing-fueled energy boom continues. Ohio drillers reported producing 88.7 billion cubic feet of natural gas from April to June, up from 67.3 billion from January to March, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources said Monday. That means Ohio recorded more natural gas production in the most recent quarter than in all of 2012."
