For example: "Lease revenue payments have ranged from as low as $5 per acre to about $4,000 per acre over the past year with production royalty payments ranging from 12.5 percent to 18.75 percent. Many residents leased their gas rights in 2010, which led the Sunday News-Register to begin publishing weekly oil and gas lease transactions each Monday."
